Orlando Nightclub Shooting Leaves 2 Dead, 10 Injured

Two people were killed, and six others hurt after a mass shooting inside of an Orlando nightclub early Sunday morning.

About 300 people were in Club Glitz when the violence broke out just before 1 a.m. ET, NBC News reported.

Investigators say their preliminary information is that eight people were shot. Of those, one died at the hospital, one is in critical condition and the rest are being treated for injuries that were not life-threatening.

“There maybe other people other there injured in the club when folks were trying to get out.” says, Orlando Police Department PIO, Michelle Guido.

Of the 12 people who were injured, 11 were wounded by gunfire, and a twelfth person was injured in another manner, Guido said.

As many as three shooters are being sought.

The club has very good security having their own guards as well as the three extra-duty police officers, the club did everything it was supposed to do, Guido said.

A dancer for the nightclub spoke out about the shooting on Twitter. No officers fired their weapons during the incident, and no officers were hurt in the shooting, Guido said. “Thank God we were running late”. On Oct. 24, 2015, two men were shot in the parking lot.
