Orlando Shooter Reportedly Used Gay Dating Apps, Frequented Pulse – Omar Mateen

Mateen’s former classmate, who was not named in the story, tells the paper Mateen asked him on a date when they were both students at the Indian River Community College police academy in 2006. In an interview with a Brazilian TV, she claimed that Mateen had “gay tendencies” and also added that his father called him gay many times, reports Gawker. He said he believed Mateen was gay, but not open about it. “He was always socially awkward”.
Mateen and Salman have been married since 2011, and have a 3-year-old son.
The second wife of Orlando gunman Omar Mateen has stayed mostly silent in the aftermath of the her husband’s rampage at the gay nightclub that left 49 dead.
There are reports that Salman is cooperating with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and according to People Magazine, Salman said her husband was scoping out Downtown Disney and Pulse Nightclub before the attack. “She definitely is, I guess you would say, a person of interest right now and appears to be co-operating and can provide us with some important information”.
“Well it was a normal reaction, that he got”, said Mateen.
“He walked directly past me”.
“I am not going to speculate as to any charges that might be brought or indeed as to whether any charges might be brought in this case”, said Lee Bentley, the U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Florida.
Yet if he was gay or bisexual, Mateen was clearly not at peace with who he was.
In another post, Mateen, 29, pledged his allegiance to Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of ISIS, and asked “America and Russian Federation stop bombing the Islamic state” and “may Allah accept me”. “I could tell by the eyes”.
