The video below shows what the Apple News app is like in its current state, the app could change by the time iOS 9 is released. We went hands-on with News to give our readers a detailed walkthrough of the app and the different features that it offers.
iOS 9 beta 3 is out, bringing with it a slew of new features and minor software improvements, including some very useful tricks. The iOS 9 allows devices to learn your habits and act on that information.
OK, you’re signed up and your device is backed up.
With user privacy and protection a big concern for any smartphone user, the iOS 9 introduces a new and easier way to use two-factor authentication system. You’ll find a new Feedback Assistant app on your iOS device to accomodate the process.
If you do decide to install the public iOS 9 beta, be sure to let us know how it works for you! So if that sounds like it could be you, then keep an eye out for that permissions screen.
Apple will be issuing updates periodically to iOS 9 over the next few months. According to a report by TheNextWeb, “You can now browse, download and listen to audiobooks from iBooks, and play them from a refreshed Now Playing feature designed just for audiobooks”. At the moment, usage data for iOS 8.4 is available third party apps while Apple has only stated that iOS 8 accounts for 84 percent devices.
At the moment, the new two-factor authentication scheme is available only to beta users of iOS 9 and OS X El Capitan, but it should roll out to all users this fall. Basically you don’t want to have any files that are stored only on your iPhone or iPad running the beta. “If you don’t have an Apple device handy, you can receive the code on your phone via a text message or phone call instead”.
