Oscar De La Hoya wants to promote Ronda Rousey

While the their size differential limits actual live sparring opportunities, it’s that very same mind for the sport that has aided Holly Holm as she prepares for her bantamweight title shot against Ronda Rousey at UFC 193 on November 14.

What could be next for the former UFC title challenger?

But earlier this week, it was Rousey herself who spun the question another way.

Organisers of the call said there were “technical difficulties” with Rousey’s line, and tried to get her back on the line for 35 minutes before announcing she would not be joining the other three fighters on the call; Holm, UFC strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk and her opponent Valerie Letourneau. “I think it would take away from her quality of life to be perfectly honest”.

If she does pursue professional boxing, there is a person in her corner already.

Holm has also got an ace up her sleeve, with input from a man considered by many to be the best UFC fighter alive.

“I’ll be able to deal with it”, Holm said Thursday on a worldwide conference call Thursday. And Holm knows this.

“I believed I could beat her, and people thought I was insane for doing that but I avenged my loss”. After Holm, there is really only one woman left.

“The best performances I’ve ever had, I was in emotional turmoil beforehand”.

Both Browne and “Rowdy” have publicly state they don’t want their relationship being scrutinized by the media, which they are well within their rights to do. There’s a lot of pressure from that. I’m happy that UFC trusts enough in the female fighters.

Not to be outdone, the current WWE Divas titleholder Charlotte posted a tweet that said: “Come get it…” We may never know, but one thing is clear. Holm hasn’t wavered since Day 1 in her confidence about her style and preparation being the flawless combination to challenge Rousey.

“Every style makes a difference”.

If Tate does decide to walk away from fighting in the UFC, the WWE could be a nice option.

“I am in there for a reason”. “I did nearly a hundred Muay Thai fights, but it’s going to be the biggest fight of my life”.

Next month’s fight has been overshadowed by a searing attack on Rousey’s trainer Edmond Tarverdyan by the fighter’s mother, who decried the guru as “worthless”.
