Oscar Pistorius house shown in ‘bizarre’ video tour

This formed an integral part of the athlete’s defense at trial: Pistorius argued that he didn’t intend to shoot his girlfriend, but rather, he had heard noise coming from the bathroom and thought it may have been an intruder who had entered through the window.

Two businessmen are renting the house in the Silver Woods Country Estate in Pretoria where the infamous Paralympian, Oscar Pistorius, shot and killed his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp on Valentine’s Day back in 2013. As he stands by the pool he adds (a little hopefully), “Hot girls can invite themselves”.

This is an entertainer’s house.

“Hot girls can invite themselves”, Mr Scott said, a beer in his hand and laughing, in a video made and posted to YouTube by the South African television channel Netwerk24.

The two men were filmed standing in the bathroom where the shooting place, with Scott giving his own version of the killing.

Speaking to Rekord on Monday, Scott said the video was blown out of proportion and did not include what the interview was initially about.

“They had a fight… he went after her, she ran away, locked herself in the bathroom”, Scott said.

‘(She) said she is going to phone someone and he shot her. That’s what happened’. The Star newspaper said that Pistorius family spokeswoman Anneliese Burgess described the video as “bizarre”.

Pistorius has served nearly a year of his five-year sentence for the manslaughter with the parole board to decide next week whether he can be released on house arrest.

According to IOL, mining consultant Louwtjie Louwrens bought the house in August previous year for R4.5 million – he could not be reached for comment.

The News24 website said Scott had apologised for the video, admitting it gave a “totally wrong message”.
