In the next shot, Carol star Cate’s eyes get wide with surprise, as she seems to be full of excitement over whatever it was that Kate had just said.
The trio look as though they’re discussing something shocking as Kate whispers to them leaves then open-mouthed before Cate and Brie rush to hug the star.

It’s not unusual for photographers at the Oscars to capture candid moments between the stars – but new pictures of Kate Winslet chatting to Cate Blanchett and Brie Larson at the awards have garnered more interest than most. Such a scene of three women larking about could obviously only mean one thing – that Winslet was imparting news that she is, of course, pregnant because baby annoucements are the only reason women look happy around each other ever.
Big news to come?
While Kate is yet to comment on the claims, her outfit choice at Sunday’s award show certainly would have helped hide any burgeoning bumps.
