OSU assistant denies knowing Sandusky’s actions at Penn State
The unsealing of court documents revealed testimony that indicated Joe Paterno knew of Sandusky’s abuse from as early as 1976 and former assistants Tom Bradley and Greg Schiano were also aware of the wrongdoings in the 1980s and 1990s.

The victim, who was identified in court records as John Doe 150, said that while he was attending a football camp at Penn State, Sandusky touched him as he showered.
The Paternos’ spokesman, Dan McGinn, said family members aren’t doing additional interviews on Tuesday’s release now because the information is as new to them as it is everyone else and they want time to review it.
Paterno, however, brushed off the complaints, which explicitly stated that Sandusky had sexually assaulted him, the man testified.
The trove of documents unsealed Tuesday came from a legal dispute between the university and an insurance company over the responsibility for almost $93 million the school paid in settlements with victims. That incident McQueary testified to is the one most tied to any beginning of public knowledge and allegation of Sandusky’s abusive behavior toward children.
Bradley was at Penn State for 37 years as a player, graduate assistant and full-time assistant coach.
“Your mind starts wondering”, said Doe 75 in an expert of his deposition.
Schiano released a statement that completely denied the claim made by fellow former Penn State coach Mike McQueary.
2016 will be Schiano’s first season on staff after replacing Chris Ash who left OSU to be the head coach at Rutgers, a job Schiano served in from 2001-2011.
The records also include an analysis by an insurance company lawyer that Penn State overpaid to settle with Sandusky’s accusers, possibly as a result of a desire to resolve the matter quickly.
McQueary said the conversation took place in the mid-2000s, and that he and Bradley would complain to each other about Sandusky having access to the Penn State facilities.
According to the New York Times, John Doe 150 went on to testify that in response to those questions, Paterno simply walked away without saying another word.
Newly released court documents say Joe Paterno allegedly knew about assistant coach Jerry Sandusky’s predatory conduct earlier in his career. Asked directly whether he knew of anything inappropriate happening while he coached with Sandusky at Penn State, Schiano said: “Because of the situation being what it is, I’m not even going to get into it”.

McQueary testified that this was true, and that both he and Bradley were indeed frustrated by Sandusky’s presence and would complain about it to each other. In 2012, he was found guilty on 45 counts of sexual abuse against children and is now in prison. The school has paid out over $90-million to more than 30 plaintiffs that have filed claims against the school.
