Osweiler to start vs. Bengals
Denver (10-4) hosts the Cincinnati Bengals (11-3). They are only a game ahead of the surging Kansas City Chiefs, with two games left to play.

Manning scaled back his workouts after what Kubiak called “a hiccup” December 18 – experiencing pain after a workout – so he went back to the workout regimen he followed the week before in an effort to ease his way back onto the field without causing more damage to his foot. “He’s been around. Certainly you wouldn’t want to give him a whole lot”.
That’s something Manning, the league’s only five-time MVP, just isn’t capable of doing yet.
Manning’s health has been a major concern for the Broncos this season and after resuming limited practice last week, he had to miss all of Friday’s practice after suffering a setback physically.
The throwing sessions have been put on video for Kubiak and the Broncos’ other coaches to watch. “He’s very much involved”, Kubiak said Monday of Manning. I think John Elway is helping to make that decision. A lot of positive things going on that we need to build from and not try to attack some negative here or there.
“It’s OK”, Osweiler said. I’m not the only one. The temperature Monday night is expected to descend through the 20s.
He awoke Tuesday with yet another issue, an eye infection. I have no idea what’s going on with my eye.
As for his vision, “it’s OK”, Osweiler said.
Osweiler said his shoulder was OK and he could see clearly enough “to find the open receiver”.
But Manning came back, and took with him the starting job.
“The delay on naming the starter doesn’t bother me one bit”.

“Watching that kid play, I mean, he’s something else, does it all day, plays extremely hard the entire game”, Kubiak said. Even with Brock Osweiler persistently melting down in the second halves of games, Manning appears nowhere close to seeing the playing field again soon. “That’s where we’re at”. Vernon Davis and Demaryius Thomas had crucial drops the last two weeks, and wins in either of those games would’ve improved Denver’s playoff chances.
