Outside money more potent issue than gender in 2016
A survey released just four days before MA voters go to the polls shows former secretary of state Hillary Clinton slightly up in the Democratic primary match-up against Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) as they sit down for a breakfast meeting at Sylvia’s Restaurant, on February 10 in Harlem.

There is one particular demographic that experts are calling key in who wins Saturday’s Democratic Primary in SC. Her recent win in Nevada, combined with a strong showing in SC, certainly plays into that storyline, and would give her momentum heading into voting on Super Tuesday.
However, after finishing second in Iowa, “The Donald” has demonstrated sustained popular appeal, winning the GOP’s New Hampshire and SC primaries and Nevada caucuses, which all had record turnouts, by substantial margins. I’m beating him awfully badly in the polls.
But the Clinton name has a deep reservoir of support among blacks and she recently picked up support from the mother of Trayvon Martin, who was killed by George Zimmerman.
Clinton has spent far more time in Florida than Sanders. “That voice. That energy”.
She also talked about the need for reform of the police, and the criminal justice system, and said too many people were the needless victims of gun violence. “Hillary got to do the darn thing down here”, Teresa Hamilton, a Hillary supporter, said. In the PPP poll, men side with Clinton by a 59-to-30 percent margin while women favor her by 56-to-34 percent. A victory exceeding Clinton’s gaudy poll numbers would help her start a push to close the Democratic race by March 15, when half of the elected delegates will have been decided.
On Wednesday, The Atlantic ran on a piece on both Democratic hopefuls’ distinct strategies to woo this minority-gone-majority voter bloc in SC.
Limon says the campaign is looking to fold in folks from who haven’t been involved in politics before.
Clinton’s remark comes as her campaign appears to be slowly preparing for a potential matchup between Trump and the Democratic presidential candidate. An October poll by Clemson found Clinton with 43 percent support and Sanders at 6 percent.
In less than 24 hours, Democrats in the Palmetto State will head to the polls.
