Over half a million pounds of Sanderson Farms chicken recalled

The company claimed that no illness or adverse reaction caused as a result of consumption of its chicken products was reported. The number can be found inside the mark of inspection of the USDA.

The Sanderson Farms recall is the latest high-profile recall of frozen food products in the U.S. Earlier this month, Johnsonville – a producer of pork products – recalled some 89,000 pounds of meat, also due to contamination with metal pieces, according to this Inquisitr report.

Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. The products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
