Clinton left the 9/11 commemoration after 90 minutes because her campaign said she felt “overheated“.

A Twitter video posted under the account Zdenek Gazda showed a wobbly looking Clinton being helped into a van upon leaving the memorial service.

Ms Clinton’s departure from the event was not witnessed by the reporters who travel with her campaign and aides provided no information about why she left or her whereabouts for almost two hours. She spent the rest of the morning there and then walked out on her own, saying “I’m feeling great”.

Doctor Lisa Bardack made the announcement Sunday after Clinton left a September 11 commemoration ceremony in NY.

Clinton’s campaign have since released a statement putting her departure down to her feeling “overheated”.

Hillary Clinton abruptly left the September 11 memorial ceremony in New York City Sunday morning after feeling “overheated”, according to a campaign statement.

This is a developing story and will be updated as new information becomes available.

Clinton’s health has been the target of repeated attacks from conservative media, with figures like Sean Hannity using heavily edited clips to perpetuate the idea that she’s critically ill.

“Secretary Clinton has been experiencing a cough related allergies”.

The Clinton campaign provided the statement late Sunday afternoon after she was examined at her home in Chappaqua.

Clinton was a NY senator at the time that the World Trade Centers fell, the Pentagon roiled in flames, and Flight 93 smoldered in that Shanksville, Pennsylvania, field. Was she dehydrated, or too hot from standing outside in the September heat for a long period of time?

Asked about Sunday’s incident at the 15th anniversary service at the World Trade Center, Trump replied, “I don’t know anything about it”.

In December 2012, Mrs Clinton suffered a concussion and shortly after had a blood clot.

A witness reportedly told the network Clinton’s knees “buckled” and she lost a shoe.

The incident quickly fueled online and television chatter about the candidate’s health, which Republican opponent Donald Trump has been lambasting as unstable while demanding she release her medical records.

Trump, 70, has said Clinton is “not strong enough to be president” and that she “lacks the mental and physical stamina to take on ISIS” jihadists.

The Democratic nominee later said she regretted her remarks at an LGBT fundraiser in NY. The weather was warm and humid in NY, and there was a breeze at the crowded memorial plaza during the ceremony. “I was sweating through my shirt”, Crowley said. “I drank about a gallon of water”. That report was reiterated by NBC News’ Monica Alba.
