Overwatch Beta Test Weekend Announced
Although the game is still in a very closed beta state, there has been a lot of speculation that Overwatch will be the next major eSports FPS.

Blizzard’s will put its Overwatch servers through their paces when the shooter’s beta kicks off on November 20, running for a total of three days.
If you’re selected for the Beta, you’ll see an Install button appear in the Overwatch tab of your Battle.net desktop app, as well as an Overwatch Beta license in the YOUR GAME ACCOUNTS section of Battle.net Account Management.
A whole bunch of characters have been tweaked as well, and while Blizzard are happy with most of the changes so far, they are still working on changes internally to balance characters like Bastion and Torbjorn.
This weekend’s stress test will feature a limited map selection; only King’s Row, Watchpoint: Gibraltar, and Hanamura will be available to play, compared to the eight maps now in the closed beta.
A post on Battle.net announces a weekend stress test for Overwatch. Blizzard notes that the email invitation will arrive slower than the Battle.net invites – so keep your eyes peeled. Blizzard has implied that a significant amount of invites will go out on Thursday, November 19, which will allow players enough time to download the game before the weekend. The developers have recently spoken out about the confusion, explaining that their intention was never to provide a free to play game similar to Heroes of the Storm or Hearthstone, arguing that placing heroes in Overwatch behind a paywall would simply ruin the game’s feel and atmosphere. Anyone who’s opted in for beta testing could be called up.
