Owen Smith warns Labour is ‘unelectable’ if Jeremy Corbyn remains leader
Actor Daniel Radcliffe praised the “sincerity” of Jeremy Corbyn as he endorsed Labour’s leader to remain in the job. Call me back when your achievements match those, she tweeted at the end of the long series of posts enumerating the previous Labour governments achievements.

“I didn’t foresee how bad it would be, but I knew enough about Labour history to be anxious and the outcome has been much worse than I expected”, he said. “I’m doing my best to make a difference”.
Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn addressing a recent rally at St Georges Hall, Liverpool.
Corbyn pointed out that MPs would have to undergo the so-called “trigger ballot mechanism”, which could allow local members to act against them, although in 20 years it has rarely been used to remove a sitting politician.
Ms Chakrabarti was also pushed over whether she would join a future shadow cabinet under Mr Corbyn, potentially as shadow justice secretary.
According to documents seen by the Guardian, Shaun Owens received a letter warning that intimidating or abusive behaviour would not be tolerated but said he could not find the offensive tweet the party suggested he had posted.
Corbyn’s spokesman also said any move to restore annual shadow cabinet elections should be “part of the wider debate about party democratisation and reform”.
“Jeremy very much, if he wins, wants to press the reset button and reach out to all parts of the parliamentary Labour Party”.
For the new rule to take effect, it would have to be approved by the national executive committee (NEC), where Corbyn has a slim majority on some issues, and by the party conference.
However, the claim was strongly denied by the party.

Caroline Flint, the former shadow Cabinet minister, said the reform had been nicknamed the “McDonnell amendment” because it could help John McDonnell, the shadow chancellor, to succeed Mr Corbyn one day, even though he lacks support from MPs. If approved then it could go to a formal vote as soon as tomorrow.
