Owl with an attitude wins face-off with Colorado deputy on patrol
On Friday, some Boulder County, Co., sheriff’s deputies encountered what looks like a Furby (remember them?) come to life in Nederland, outside of Boulder.

Deputy Sophie Berman spotted the owl on a dirt road as she was patrolling the area.
“Our Sheriff’s Office deputies were driving near a campground on July 23 when they were stopped in their tracks by this young northern saw whet owl,” the video’s caption on YouTube reads. The birds also hunt nearly entirely at night.
Instead of moving it clicked back defiantly and stood by while officers took a video that has since become viral.
Why did the adorable baby owl cross the road?
The owl eventually safely flew away, according to the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office.

The encounter of the cute and feathered-kind has since been shared across Twitter thousands of times though retweets and under the hashtag #DeputiesLoveBabyOwls.
