Pac-12 basketball: Ducks top Huskies to remain flawless at home
Forward Jordan Bell and guard Casey Benson each added 12 points while center Chris Boucher scored 10 as OR extended its school record for consecutive home wins to 25. Washington, now on a four-game road skid, lost 78-74 at OR last season and haven’t won there since March 4, 2010. However, the Huskies were able to re-gather themselves and cut the Ducks lead below ten multiple times throughout the remainder of the game.

Is there a more dysfunctional conference in the nation than the Pac-12? Arizona (22-7, 12-6) is two games behind the Ducks.
The Oregon Ducks earned the sixth seed in this week’s Pac-12 women’s basketball tournament and a first-round matchup with No. 11 Arizona that is set for 2 p.m. Thursday at KeyArena in Seattle (TV on Pac-12 Network). Can the Ducks get it done? OR is one game up on California and Utah in the loss column with three games remaining and the Ducks are feeling very comfortable at home, winning a program record 24 straight at Matthew Knight Arena.
Elgin Cook matched his career-high with 26 points to lead No. 13 OR to an 86-73 victory over Washington on Sunday night.
Elgin Cook represented the OR senior class in the best way possible way Sunday night in Eugene.
Cook, playing his final home game before a sellout crowd, led the Ducks to a 40-32 halftime lead with seven early points and 13 by the break.
Kelsey Plum scored 18 points and Washington routed Colorado 68-47 on Saturday.
In 18 home games, OR drew 134,405 fans for an average attendance of 7,467. Next up for the Ducks is a road trip to Southern California starting with a visit to UCLA on Wednesday.
The Huskies would go on a run hitting 5 of 7 to pull within 7 points with just over 7 minutes left.
“We just want to finish out strong”, Cook said. It was the third time this season that he finished with 26 points.
Now all that’s left for OR to accomplish before tournament play is to avoid being the regular-season bridesmaid again.
This up-tempo matchup features teams that each excel at causing turnovers, with the Huskies among the Division I leaders with 16.7 takeaways per game and OR second in the conference at 14.4. – Desi Rodriguez had career-highs of 27 points and 12 rebounds and Seton Hall all but clinched its first NCAA Tournament berth in a decade with a stunning victory over Xavier.
