Glenn Robinson III will be joining his hometown Indiana Pacers after a three-year deal has been closed.

Indy Star: “With Christmas, the Pacers now have six bigs (players who could fulfill the power forward and/or center positions) on the roster, including Lavoy Allen, Jordan Hill, Ian Mahinmi, Myles Turner and Shayne Whittington”. He has career averages of 5.0 points and 4.8 rebounds per game. As a rookie, Robinson averaged 7.5 minutes per game in 35 appearances, collecting 2.1 points and 1.1 rebounds per game according to ESPN. Christmas was selected 36th overall by the Minnesota Timberwolves in this year’s National Basketball Association draft before being traded to Cleveland.
The 40th pick in the 2014 draft by the Timberwolves, he was waived in March and picked up by Philadelphia, where he finished the season. His father, Glenn, was the No. 1 overall pick in the 1994 draft. The 6-11, 250-pound forward/center out of Western Michigan appeared in 20 games for the Pacers in 2014-15. He was expected to re-sign after competing on Indiana’s summer league team. A three-year deal sounds nice but it is unlikely to carry much, if anything, in the way of guarantees.

Robinson announced on Twitter that he would be playing for the Pacers next season, and said he “couldn’t be more excited to play at home”. “This is a great opportunity for him to play night in and night out at a high level”.
