Packers’ Aaron Rodgers’ Hail Mary to Richard Rodgers beats Lions
This one hurts, this is angry. And after losing four of its previous five games, Green Bay (8-4) stayed on the heels of the NFC North-leading Minnesota Vikings. So in one throw, Aaron Rodgers sealed a defeat not just for Detroit but for the house as well. He caught the ball. The odds of that happening are about the same as the odds the Lions would win this game in the first place. “Defense always gets an interception, bats it down, that’s the type of stuff you don’t see in the National Football League, maybe college, but we’ll gladly take it”. “So it was a good jolt for us”.

It was a gut punch for the players and the fans.
The touchdown gave the Packers a 27-23 win and improved the team’s record to 8-4, while the Lions dropped to 4-8.
Caldwell disputed the facemask call.
But back to that facemask penalty. “I didn’t believe I touched it”.
Following the Thursday game, the Lions have Friday through Sunday off, but Stafford didn’t say anything about how he’d overcome the emotional pitfalls of the game, instead pointing to the necessary rest period for the team to get healthy.
“I’m not saying it was, I’m not saying it wasn’t”.
Two fumbles turned the game around. “Shame to us on that one”.
The second insane ending to a game that we’ve seen this week.
Whitehead was able to get his hands on Richard Rodgers, but once the Green Bay tight end caught the ball, he wouldn’t allow anyone to jar it loose. That pass resulted in the Packers’ 27 to 23 victory over the Lions.
Katie McWilliams added six points in the second half, including a key 3 from the left corner with 4:38 left for a 57-52 lead.
The Packers trailed 20-0 early in the third quarter and seemed all but beaten until they rallied in one of the greatest comebacks in Green Bay history.
The Packers got off the schneid by scoring a touchdown on a fumble recovery – their own fumble. Now the Lions lead 23-21 with 3:04 left.
Now the trick for Green Bay will be keeping the momentum from the “Miracle in Motown” as they wait a week and a half before welcoming the Dallas Cowboys to Lambeau Field.
The Lions, fearing the Packers would start lateraling and force Detroit to make a tackle, did not put 6-foot-5 Calvin Johnson in the game for defensive purposes.
The game appeared to be over several times. But Rodgers showed his enormous arm strength and found his target for the touchdown.
Detroit coach Jim Caldwell was expecting a lateral play.

“You know, it’s one that it’s really close and so we made the call”, Blandino said. “Obviously it’s just what you’d expected, a quiet locker room where our guys are upset because they gave so much of themselves in this game”. With their victory last night, their odds improved to 10/1 according to oddsmakers from online sports book Mybookie.ag.
