Packers confirm Jordy Nelson out for year with significant knee injury

Nelson’s injury has once again sparked a discussion on how necessary the preseason is for players to prepare for the regular season. When things like this happen, a good system with a good football team, adjustments are made. “When you have the opportunity to build a program, a championship program, and you talk about what you want your players to look like, act like, he’s a prime example of that”.

Earlier in his comments, Quin indicated that he was sad to see that Nelson was injured and that he wanted to play the Packers at full strength.

“It’s hard to lose a guy like that in a meaningless game”, Rodgers said. If he wouldn’t have got hurt today, if he wouldn’t have played in that game, if he wouldn’t have practiced anymore and the next time he walked on the field would have been opening day, I feel like he would have got hurt opening day. It helps us’. He’s going to have to get the other guys active, the rookies active. He caught 98 passes for 1,519 yards and 13 touchdowns, ranking in the top seven among NFL receivers in all three categories.

Quin expects the Packers to adjust to the loss of a big-time receiver. Rodgers said back in January that the former Fresno State star possesses the “swagger of a No. 1 receiver”. I believe McCarthy and company will be able to effectively rally around their youth at the receiver position and possibly even transition their offense into something special with the increased use of Rodgers. “I think just talking to the doc about how it all works out, it’s honestly bad timing”, he said….

“They’re a great organization”.

That’s where I think Lacy will really make the difference.

On the surface, that seems to fly in the face of logic but the proposal you always hear about replacing the four-game preseason is a two-game preseason.

With this latest incident involving Jordy Nelson added to the string of injuries accumulated over the course of the NFL preseason, Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers further pointed out that the number of games should be shortened. Neither injury appears to be long-term.

Quin is described in the article as “a devoted Christian”, and his Twitter bio begins with “Believer in GOD”.

God might not be a Green Bay fan.

Head coach Jim Caldwell is a stickler for player safety.

The Packers will need to count more on their running game as well. Nelson leaped up to catch the ball for the second time in the game on an eight-yard curl route and fell down awkwardly on his right knee.

“I’m not going to lie: Hearing the Jordy news, it kind of put my antennas up”, Tate said.

Nelson didn't ruin the Packers season. He might have ruined your fantasy football season
