Packers Jordy Nelson officially out for season due to knee injury

As good as they are at mining talent from within, the Packers can’t deny that Nelson’s absence leaves a major hole on their roster.

“It was determined that WR Jordy Nelson sustained a significant right knee injury in yesterday’s game at Pittsburgh“, the Packers said in a statement.

Reports have indicated that Nelson tore his right ACL.

The play that may change the course of Green Bay’s season started innocently enough.

Nelson, who’s going into his eighth season, was injured on a noncontact play early in the first quarter of Sunday’s game against the Steelers.

Bakhtiari remains confident that he’ll be back in the lineup for Week 1 of the regular season. My prayers really do go out to all the people that selected Jordy Nelson in the their fantasy draft tens minutes before the injury occurred, thats gotta be tough to swallow. “No matter how much training you do, whatever you do in the offseason, whether you have two-a-days practices, there’s no substitute for playing in a game”. The former Fresno State wide receiver accumulated 46 receptions for 570 yards and four touchdowns in 18 games, including two postseason performances, in his rookie campaign with Green Bay. Coach Bill O’Brien said Hoyer won the job because of his composure and consistency.

Chiefs coach Andy Reid said he’s good with the status quo.

“Oh my goodness, it hurts me to even talk about it”, Jones, a first-year Giant, said on Tuesday. I’ve kind of got that system down.

Complain all you want.

Apparently what Finley was trying to say is that Rodgers’ receivers don’t get enough credit.

The Lions lost defensive tackle Caraun Reid and guard Larry Warford to ankle injuries in last week’s game at Washington. Our team identity is the same.

Aaron Rodgers was emotional.

For these Chiefs, the preseason has been invaluable to certain players. Outside of those three injuries, Safety Mykkele Thompson will miss the season with a torn Achilles, and Cooper Taylor, Nat Berhe, and Landon Collins have all missed time so far this preseason with various issues.

Turning to Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford, he was able to take some shots, complete some passes, AND his surgically repaired knee held up well after his week 2 start against the Baltimore Ravens.

“No question, the reps have definitely been necessary”, DeVito said. “So if he wouldn’t have got hurt today, if he wouldn’t have played in that game, if he wouldn’t have practiced anymore and, the next time he would have walked on the field would have been opening day, I feel like he would have got hurt opening day”.
