Two losses out of the All-Star break, and the Giants still ownthe best record in baseball.

It was not the kind of night that a hopeful Giants fan might have envisioned.

With runners on the corners, closer Santiago Casilla was looking to close out the inning and get the Giants a chance to take the lead. Padres catcher Derek Norris was awarded home, and just like that, the game was over.

Adam Rosales came through with a game-tying single that also pushed the winning run to third.

On the first pitch to shortstop Alexei Ramirez, Casilla stumbled as he went to throw, resulting in a balk.

“We asked Cashner to get away from his sinker tonight”, continued Green.

“I was just watching it with him”, Bumgarner said.

“That’s our guy right there”, Giants starter Jeff Samardzija said. “We lean on Buster for those hits”. San Diego will go for the series sweep on Sunday.

It was Samardzija who began the comeback with his single in the third inning, and Angel Pagan made it an earnest attempt when he followed with a two-run home run off Luis Perdomo.

San Francisco Giants closer Santiago Casilla had an inning to forget as the San Diego Padres claimed a 7-6 walk-off win in Major League Baseball on Saturday. The Padres won 7-6. Mac Williamson led off the top of the sixth with his first career pinch-hit homer.

Johnny Cueto is ready to get out of San Diego.

Another rehabbing big-leaguer, Ehire Adrianza, had a big night at the plate going 2-for-3 with two home runs (?!), three RBI and three runs scored. He walked the first two batters, which helped put the Giants in a 2-0 hole. Posey committed an error when he sailed a sidearm throw to third base while attempting to nab Travis Jankowski trying to steal.

San Diego’s Yangervis Solarte homered in the seventh, his ninth. Giants RHP Matt Cain (hamstring) allowed nine runs and 10 hits over four innings in a minor-league rehab start for Class A Lancaster on Friday. He struck out nine and walked one.

Green lifted Perdomo with two outs in the fifth after he allowed Posey’s RBI double to pull the Giants to 5-3. The organization said it was working hard with ESPN Deportes to resolve this situation as quickly as possible to get games with Erwin Higueros and Tito Fuentes back on the air.

“They owned us the first half of the season”, Green said of the Giants’ domination.

Through the first half of the season, the gap between the Padres and the National League West’s top team was never more apparent than when they faced each other. The Padres have scored 12 runs in their last three games and four or more runs in 10 of their last 14 games. He was promoted from Triple-A earlier Sunday to start in place of All-Star Drew Pomeranz, who was traded to Boston on Thursday. Since then he’s made 39 relief appearances for Chicago, Atlanta and Miami.
