Pagano Hopeful That Hasselbeck Will Return To Practice

Hasselbeck, who is 4-2 as a starter this season, did not take questions after re-injuring his ribs in Sunday’s blowout loss at Jacksonville. He was expected to miss two to six weeks.

“It starts with me, OK, and everybody else”.

“I know the arrow is up for him”, Bradley said of Posluszny.

“He’s having some spasms that go along with his rib injury, ” Pagano said. “It immobilizes the arm”, Pagano stated.

Luck has been out with a kidney issue and might not return.

Luck told reporters Monday that his goal is to practice this week but that he doesn’t feel 100 percent yet.

But that doesn’t mean he will play in Sunday’s all-important home game against the Houston Texans at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Luck has been running and throwing, but hasn’t participated in any practices.

Pagano only said the team’s medical staff has not informed him of any impending change about Luck’s practice status.

“He’s a tough guy”.

This is what happens when you go all-in on a bluff. “You can talk it, but now we’ve had this experience that took place that creates a vivid picture for the players”. We’re in this thing together. He had one punt downed inside the Jaguars’ 20-yard line. They had their chances, especially early, but did not capitalize. That gave the Colts a 13-3 lead with 1:56 left in the half.

Against the Indianapolis Colts, the Jaguars heavily featured rookie cornerback Nick Marshall in nickel coverage.

Indy has been outscored 96-26 in its last two games, both on the road.

06 December 2015: Jacksonville Jaguars Quarterback Blake Bortles (5) during the NFL football game between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Tennessee Titans. Branches touchdown lead to a forty eight point scoring rampage by Jacksonville!

In a stark contrast from the Jaguars’ established way of thinking, the undrafted free agent was given a major role in an important game, not due to injury but because the team thought he could handle it. Bortles also fumbled three times. On Jacksonville’s first play in the third quarter, he hit Allen Hurns (three catches, 105 yards) with a sideline toss that the wide receiver caught near midfield. He also had a pass breakup on a downfield throw in the second half. Andre Branch started the barrage with a 49-yard fumble return for a score late in the second quarter. The Jags would score touchdowns on all five of their second-half possessions. Jacksonville’s passing yards per game have gone from 187.6 yards a game to 253.3 yards per contest, and Bortles has already almost tripled his touchdown output from previous year.

It was the seventh time under Chuck Pagano that the Colts lost by 29 or more points.

This game has to be the worst loss in the Pagano/Grigson era.

In Week 14, the Jacksonville Jaguars stepped out of their comfort zone in a game that Gus Bradley deemed more about the team finding itself than outmatching its competition.

“Still dealing with some stuff, ” Pagano said.

The Jaguars are a game back in the muddled AFC South. They trail Houston and Indianapolis with three games remaining and could catch one of them – the Colts host the Texans this week – with a victory against Atlanta. They hadn’t lost a division game since 2012 until last week, but they’ll recover with a win over the Texans.

“I’m definitely optimistic, ” Castonzo said.
