Paige VanZant Flattens Bec Rawlings With Jumping Switch Kick
Paige VanZant made her return to the Octagon at UFC on FOX 21 after her impressive runner-up performance on Dancing With the Stars. Rawlings (6-4), a former Invicta FC title contender, was looking to pick up her second straight victory under the UFC banner.

Here is how the fight unfolded, round-by-round, including FanSided’s scoring of the fight. Every fight night we see every punch, kick and submission attempt and share it with you, THE FAN. One of the first on the list is one half of tonight’s women’s strawweight bout, Bec Rawlings. A quick flurry momentarily stuns VanZant, who lunges in but can’t connect with any offense. VanZant finally closed the distance as she clinches up against the fence before eating a knee from Rawlings.

The decision to be on the reality series, though, has opened new doors for VanZant outside of the sport – and provided her with new fans inside of it. The momentum seem to be switching toward VanZant. The Team Alpha Male standout followed up the flashy switch kick with a few strikes to the side of Rawlings’ head to earn the memorable second-round knockout win. With her opponent reeling, VanZant swarmed in for the kill. Rawlings fell to the canvas where VanZant poured on the punishment until the stoppage at the 0:17 mark of Round 2. The referee jumps in and stops the fight with in seconds into the second round.
