Chris Paisley opened up a one-shot lead after 13 holes of the second round of the Italian Open before play was abandoned because of the weather.

It has been a hard week for organisers in Monza, with torrential rain causing play to be suspended on Thursday.
Nearly five hours were lost on Thursday at Golf Club Milano due to similar weather, with numerous early starters facing 36 holes on day two with only a short break between their first and second rounds.
“That was good as it gets”, Karlberg, who beat Kaymer on the second extra hole in a playoff for last year’s Italian Open, told reporters. “It was a great round”.
“But you still have to make the most of your luck, and I managed to do that today”.
Tommy Fleetwood made it five Englishmen in the top 10 as he rolled in seven birdies and kept a bogey off his card in a best-of-the-day 64, with Scotland’s Scott Jamieson joining him on 15 under after a 67. “Pleased to execute as good as I did”.
At four shots off the pace is Sweden’s Peter Hanson and Soren Kjeldsen of Denmark, although some of the big names in the field struggled to keep apace, while others had yet to complete their round due to delays with the weather.
The Briton, one of seven European Ryder Cup players competing in Milan this week, was 13-under-par through eight holes when play was suspended for the day because of darkness.

“Play to restart at 07:30 local time tomorrow”, said a brief statement on the organisers’ Twitter page. “So I was a bit gutted when they called us in because I was hitting my stride”. I made a lot of up and downs. “Every year there seems to be low scores and yet it’s not easy out there, especially with the juicy grass”.
