The home and studio of legendary musician Prince, Paisley Park, will be opened for viewing to the public starting October 6.

In April, he collapsed in the elevator at Paisley Park and died of an accidental overdose of the painkiller fentanyl. Only a few hundred people have ever been inside Paisley Park, Nelson said, but now fans from around the globe will be able to step into the world of Prince Rogers Nelson.

Supporters will also be able to feast their eyes on some of the many awards the late star won, see his concert wardrobe, rare music and video recordings as well as several of his musical instruments.
Tickets go on sale online only on Friday.
Prince came up with the concept for Paisley Park while making his film “Purple Rain”.
Tours will reportedly begin this October and tickets will be available starting August 26 at 3 PM EST.
The complex’s name was inspired by Prince’s music. According to the proposal, tickets for Paisley Park will be $38.50 for standard admission and $100 or more for VIP tours.
The property in Chanhassen, Minn., will be managed by the same people who supervise Elvis Presley’s Graceland, according to the Associated Press. There could be as many as 2,000 fans touring Paisley Park on a daily basis, during their most popular days.
Following his death earlier this year, Rolling Stone writer Kory Grow wrote of the artist, “Over the course of almost four decades, Prince became an icon of artistry and individuality”.
Bremer Trust recently filed the paperwork with the City of Chanhassen asking for the property to be rezoned so it can be turned into a museum.
Located in the town of Chanhassen, Minnesota, the custom-built complex was where Prince albums like ‘Sign O’ the Times’ and ‘Lovesexy’ were recorded. A public hearing will take place at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20, at City Hall, and a special city council meeting will take place October 3 to give final consideration to the application.

Prince is being remembered in the sweetest way. Nelson said the idea of having Paisley Park as a museum was always something Prince had hoped to accomplish. “He knew exactly how to showcase his production studio for his fans in preparation for this eventual outcome”, Laufenburger said.
