General Raheel Sharif said that rapid progress is underway for completion of CPEC. “China-Pakistan all-weather friendship and all-round cooperation is based on trust and mutual support, and we have been devoted friends through both good and hard times”. “All weather friendship is sweeter than honey, higher than Himalaya and deeper than ocean”. He added work was going on in full gear. He said the two countries stand with each other in testing times their ties will further strengthen in future.
He said, “The Pakistan Army and People Liberation Army (PLA) form edifice of our strategic relations”. He also termed the PLA as one of the most professional armies in the world and paid tribute to PLA’s sacrifices while pursuing the dreams of the Chinese nation.
On occasion of Chinese Army’s 88th Anniversary, he said that cooperation on the CPEC would benefit entire region, said an ISPR press release issued. “Eliminating East Turkistan Independence Movement (ETIM) is its manifestation”.
Army Chief General Raheel Sharif said on Friday that Pakistan and China’s enemy are the same.
General Raheel Sharif said that the efforts made by Pakistan and China for peace and stability in Afghanistan will have long-term consequences and they will further limit space for non-state elements on Afghan soil.

According to the ISPR, COAS directed all concerned to speed up relief efforts in the flood affected areas of the country.
