Pak Army XI beat Pakistan XI in Independence Day T20 match
Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif inaugurated the match that was played to express solidarity with all those who sacrificed their lives for Pakistan.

Earlier, Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif, who graced the event as guest of honour, opened the 20-over-version of the game by shooting an unassailable boundary off all-rounder Shahid Afridi, the skipper of Army XI.
Shahid Afridi, Misbah-ul-Haq, Azhar Ali and Sohail Tanveer will be included in the Pakistan Eleven team. Inter-Services Public Relations Director General Major General Asim Bajwa was the wicketkeeper for the delivery. True to his nature, Afridi entertained with the bat in the army’s six-wicket win. Captain Shahid Afridi, who scored the highest 44 runs with 4 sixes and two boundaries, was declared man of the match.
RISJA chairman and president appealed to Army Chief General Arheel Sharif to pass on directives to ISPR to ensure sports journalists must be invited for covering sports event in future.

Later, ISPR DG Major General Asim Bajwa handed over the cheque of the fund generated through the match to Army Chief for IDPs.
