The PTI had staged a massive sit-in in Islamabad last year to press for its demand for a judicial inquiry into the elections.
He asked the nation to treat historic verdict of the inquiry commission as a milestone in its history and urged to focus on progress and development of the country. During this period, the commission held 39 hearings and recorded statements of 51 witnesses.
It said that despite some lapses by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), it cannot be said on the evidence before the commission that on an overall basis the elections were not a true and fair reflection of the mandate given by the electorate.

He was of the view that inquiry commission’s unbiased report, which failed to find any evidence of a conspiracy to manipulate the vote results, has ushered Pakistan into a new age.
