India is exporting engineers all over the world, whereas Islamabad is exporting terrorists, the PM said.

“I want to tell Pakistan that India is ready to fight you”.

Signalling that India will not engage the political leadership of Pakistan in talks, Modi said they read out scripts written by akas of terrorists at worldwide forums in a veiled condemnation of Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s UN General Assembly speech.

The Prime Minister said he could see a lot of potential to make sure that the 21st century becomes Asia’s 21st century, adding that all countries in Asia are working for it, except one. After lot of thinking, he resolved to study for an extra 3 hours every day as his contribution to the nation, the Prime Minister said. “Wherever terrorism is happening across Asia, the affected nations are blaming it on only one nation”.

“Wherever there is news of terror, there is news that either the terrorist first went to this country or later, after the incident, like Osama Bin Laden”, he said addressing a rally in southern Kerala state.

India’s Permanent Representative to the UN Syed Akbaruddin said that what is finding resonance among the worldwide community is the terror threat that India is facing and not what Sharif focussed on his speech – the issue of Kashmir.

Lashing out at the neighboring country, Modi said its leaders used to say that they will fight for 1000 years with India and wondered where they were now. His challenge appeared to be directed at the terrorists, and not so much at Pakistan.

“A day will come when the people of Pakistan will go against their own government to fight terrorism”.

In an attempt to gain the confidence of public of Pakistan, PM appealed to the people of Pakistan – that the two countries should be competing to eradicate poverty, unemployment, illiteracy and malnutrition. “Let us see which country wins, India or Pakistan”, he said.

“Spewing hatred against the neighbouring country, Modi accused Pakistan of being “the epicentre of terrorism” and claimed it was “exporting terrorism” to the world”, Geo TV further stated. “He is trying to hide the inefficiency of his government behind rhetoric”, Congress’s Manish Tewari said.
