Pakistan should bring the matter before United Nations and human rights commission as well. He asked Pakistan to desist from “interfering” in the internal affairs of India and charged it with trying to “speed up border infiltration” in Jammu & Kashmir and informed that around 86 terrorists have recently been neutralised by Indian security forces in the border State.

The “Black Day” declared yesterday by Islamabad “exposes Pakistan’s longing for the territory of Jammu & Kashmir”.

The ministry, which is headed by Sushma Swaraj, also asked Pakistan to ensure security of the High Commission, all its officials and their families in the country.

The Kashmir Study Forum Sri Lanka along with Pakistani and Sri Lankan community organized a peaceful demonstration in front of United Nation Office at Baudaloka Mawatha in Sri Lanka to highlight the recent upsurge in extrajudicial killing and human rights violation in Indian Occupied Kashmir by the Indian forces. “India demands that Pakistan must fulfil the obligation to vacate its illegal occupation of POK”, the spokesperson said.

The Indian attempts to claim that the deteriorating human rights situation in Indian Occupied Kashmir is an internal affair of India is factually incorrect, legally untenable and indeed a violation of global law and UNSC resolutions, the prime minister stated.

He said Pakistan sees the ongoing situation in IHK as a clear manifestation of state-terrorism to suppress Kashmiri’s voice for the right to self-determination.

On July 20, Sharif had said, “Today we are observing Black Day to express solidarity with Kashmiris and are giving a strong message to the world that Pakistanis are with them [Kashmiris] for their struggle to get their rights”.

Mastermind of the 26/11 Mumbai attack, Hafiz Saeed, who led the “Kashmir Caravan”, reportedly spewed venom against India in his speech and dared New Delhi to stop them.

New Delhi also called on Islamabad to stop “misleading” the worldwide community, and Kashmiris, through military exercises, territorial claims, and threats to engage in conflict over the long-contested region.

The decision to convene the meeting came days after the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani in an encounter with security forces on July 8, which led to violent clashes between protesters and law enforcing agencies across the Valley, leaving over 40 people dead and over 4,000 injured. “If terrorism is there in India, it is due to Pakistan which is sponsoring it”, Singh said in the Lok Sabha during a discussion on the situation in Jammu and Kashmir.

While reiterating his condemnation over the continuation of Indian oppression in Kashmir, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that this brutal use of force was a clear violation of fundamental rights of the Kashmiri people which no civilized society could permit.

The response by the government was rather adverse and a violation of worldwide human rights resolutions, humanitarians laws and the right to freedom of speech and expression, and those established under the conventions of the United Nations.
