Analysts in India are interpreting these comments as a response to a strong public reaction to Sharif seemingly not raising issues of concern to Pakistan with Modi.
Many eyebrows were raised when Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi shook hands with Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and discussed Indo-Pakistan relations in Russian Federation recently.
“Modi sarkar has made India’s Pakistan policy not only directionless, but an global joke”, he added.
As agreed in Ufa, the three level of talks-between National Security Advisors, Directors General of Military Operations and chiefs of border guards forces-will be held.
The ground reality is that millions of Indian and Pakistanis do not dislike each other and have responded to each other with understanding and goodwill. There were no casualties immediately reported, officials said.
On July 19, 1947, Kashmiris adopted a historic resolution from the platform of All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim conference in Srinagar, demanding the accession of the State of Jammu and Kashmir to Pakistan in accordance with the Partition Plan and two Nation theory.
Read as it was, the statement left ample room for manoeuvre on both sides.
“Pakistan troops once again violated ceasefire and opened firing on four Indian forward posts at LoC in Shahpur Kerni sector Poonch district”, Defence Spokesperson Jammu Lt Col Manish Mehta said here.
“Joint statements are never a verbatim record of what prime ministers say, it just gives a gist or summary leaving out classified discussions”, he said. Firing was still going on.

While Indian army was battling it out on the borders, police and paramilitary forces had a hard time to quell stone pelting mobs which unfurled the flags of IS, LeT and Pakistan in the old Srinagar city. “The intermittent fire lasted till 2355 hrs”, he said.
