Pakistan Shuts Border After Afghans Burn Pakistani Flag
However, they did not stop the Afghan citizens from pelting stones at the Bab-e-Dosti gate due to which the glass on the gate shattered.

The Pak-Afghan border at Chaman remained closed for fourth consecutive day Sunday with North Atlantic Treaty Organisation supply and cross-border trade also remained suspended.
The two sides failed to resolve tensions as the gate between the two countries remains closed since Thursday. “We will not open the gate until orders to do so are received from the high command”, Dawn quoted security officials posted at the border as saying.
Another official said the Afghans belonging to border town of Spin Boldak protested in favour of India after Pakistan protested against the remarks made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding Balochistan.
Trade activities are also being badly affected by the prolonged closure of Bab-e-Pakistan Friendship Gate due to border tensions.
Pakistan has demanded to take action against the miscreants who were involved in Pakistani flag desecration.
“The Friendship Gate at the Pak-Afghan border has been closed after the flag burning incident”, a senior security official in Pakistan said.
Every day between 10,000 and 15,000 Pakistani and Afghan traders cross into Chaman in Balochistan and Vesh Mandi in Kandhar province of Afghanistan.
Reports suggest that Afghan demonstrators snatched the national flag from a Pakistani protester who stood close to the Friendship Gate and set it on fire.

The closure resulted in long queues of trucks and lorries on both sides of the border. Construction of the gate was completed in August.
