Pakistan troops fire 120 mm mortar bombs in J-K’s Poonch sector
Indian troops opened fire in the Jandrot sector of the Line of Control (LoC) – the region’s de facto border – on August 8, seriously injuring a 28-year-old woman with a bullet wound to her stomach, a statement from Islamabad’s foreign ministry said.

Indian forces killed four Pakistani civilians on July 15 and 16, one in Kashmir itself and three near the town of Sialkot close to the border.
“India is only responding to the ceasefire violations by Pakistan.
In the past few days also, there have been ceasefire violations on the J&K border.
JAMMU- In twin ceasefire violations on Tuesday night, Pakistani troops resorted to small arms firing on forward posts along the LoC in Rajouri and Poonch districts, drawing retaliation from the Army.
NSA-level talks are likely to take place later this month.
Tension between India and Pakistan has been fuelled by frequent exchanges of fire at the border, with both sides accusing each other of violating the ceasefire agreement.
Firing by Pakistani troops stated in Balakot sector at 9:15pm on Tuesday and continued till 1:30am on Wednesday.
On August 9, Pakistani troops had targeted forward Indian posts along the LoC in Hamirpur-Balakote sector of Poonch district overnight, drawing retaliation from the Army.
On August 10, Pakistan had resorted to unprovoked firing across the Line of Control in Bhimbergali Sector.

According to sources, there is a divide within the Pakistani establishment over NSA-level talks between India and Pakistan.
