Pakistan vs England, fourth ODI

England, on the other hand, would like to maintain the winning momentum and cap off their fightback with an emphatic series win against a struggling Pakistan as the two teams head to the Dubai International Cricket Stadium for the fourth and the final One-Day International (ODI) on Friday (November 20).

Rasheed and Moeen, the spinners, were the most successful bowlers for England, bagging six wickets between them, while David Willey (2 for 34) and Topley (1 for 58) also chipped in.

After the disappointment of the Test series and after going 1-0 down in the limited overs series, England have responded incredibly well.

“We’re very privileged to work and train day in day out with Jos and the ability he shows in training and in the nets, today it all came together for him which was incredible”, he said. I think the best one-day knock I have seen in the England shirt.

Pakistan skipper Azhar Ali said: “If you look at the last two games we lost because we made mistakes”.

The coach hopes the forthcoming three-match Twenty20 series will be good preparation for next year’s World Twenty20 event in India.

“I think he’ll play a lot of Test cricket”, he said. Promoted up the order ahead of Morgan, the captain’s decision seemed a stroke of genius as Buttler freed his shoulders and struck the ball around and nearly out of the ground in Sharjah.

Buttler pulverised the Pakistan attack with some splendid shots, mixing the audacious and the unorthodox at a pace that was quick even by Twenty20 standards.

But such was the violence of Buttler’s hitting that the Surrey batsman’s stylish 102 off 117 balls was a reduced to the supporting cast, as was Joe Root’s run-a-ball 71.

His century off forty six deliveries broke his personal England report and he hit eight sixes – one other national greatest – and 10 fours.

Bayliss suggested he had “all confidence” that Bell could make another return, though the odds are against him doing so in quite the same fashion as Buttler, who followed up a reassuring 49 not out in the third ODI by breaking his own England record with a 46-ball century in Dubai.

Eoin Morgan earlier won the toss for the third time in the series, and once again chose to bat first, a decision rewarded by a fifty partnership between England’s openers.

Roy, whose previous best of 67 came against Australia at Southampton in September, hit eight boundaries and a six. Despite losing Taylor at 306-5, Buttler powered on and reached his ton at just over two runs a ball, in a typically swashbuckling display. Roy and fellow opener Alex Hales laid the platform for England as they took the score to 54 in the 12th over.

“No one ever likes to get dropped but he’s shown what a good team man he is, that Test match he got dropped for he was out throwing balls to his team-mates”.
