Also Friday, the soldiers killed two Palestinians, identified as Ahmad Abdul-Fattah Saraheen, 30, and Firas Mousa al-Birawi Khdour, 18, in Hebron.

On Saturday, a solider was lightly stabbed in the Tel Rumeida area of Hebron, just one day after a soldier had been stabbed and severely injured in that same area the day before.

The unidentified 20-year-old assailant allegedly stabbed two Israeli police officers Monday before being shot and incapacitated.

Both were evacuated to the Hadassah hospital in Jerusalem, which said the perpetrator was in moderate condition after suffering a gunshot to his head, while the soldier, also in moderate condition, had been stabbed in the armpit.

Israeli police said that the incident occurred after they tried to check if Amro (seen below) had Palestinian papers.

Two men – a Palestinian and a Jordanian – were shot dead by Israeli forces on Friday during two separate alleged attacks in the Israeli-occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem.

The Palestinians, as well as Israeli and global rights groups, say Israel has at times used excessive force to subdue attackers.

The military said in a statement that a vehicle carrying two Palestinians rammed into a civilian bus stop at a junction near the settlement of Kiryat Arba, outside the town of Hebron in the occupied West Bank. While Abbas called for acts of “peaceful popular resistance” against Israel, he said that “the hands of the Palestinians are extended for peace”.

Some 45 minutes prior to the incident at Kiryat Arba, a Jordanian citizen was shot and killed by Israeli forces after allegedly carrying out a stabbing attack outside Damascus Gate in occupied East Jerusalem, with his family later reporting they had serious doubts over the Israeli army’s narrative of his killing.

Abu Rudaina called on the global community to hold Israel responsible for failure of peace between Israel and the Palestinians and asserted on the PA’s determination to continue political struggle for the sake of legitimate Palestinian rights, mainly the right to self-determination.

Since then Israel has blamed the violence on incitement by Palestinian political and religious leaders. The spike in violence has spurred the Israeli military to send troop reinforcements to the West Bank. “Let me be absolutely clear: settlements are illegal under worldwide law”.

“In the attack, three civilians were injured”.
