Palestinian attackers killed, 2 Israelis die in Jerusalem
Forensic police work next to the body of a Palestinian, who authorities said was shot dead by police after he went on a stabbing rampage along with another Palestinian man, near Jaffa Gate in Jerusalem’s Old City December 23, 2015. One of the victims reportedly was hit by police gunfire trying to stop the assailants, who were identified by Israel Police as Palestinians from eastern Jerusalem.

A police spokesperson said the incident occurred in the afternoon near the Old City’s Jaffa Gate, a popular tourist spot.
Monitoring the news here in NY I was astounded to see the news flashed on FOX-TV News that read: “Israeli police kill two Palestinians after stabbing”. Most have taken place around the Damascus Gate, the main entrance to the Old City’s Muslim quarter.
The two Palestinians killed one person and were then shot dead by Israeli security forces.
Suspected Israeli extremists fire smoke grenades into the house of a Palestinian family in the occupied West Bank and scrawl Hebrew graffiti on its walls, police say. The second victim was shot by accident by Israeli security forces aiming at the attackers. Palestinians say it stems from frustration at almost five decades of Israeli military rule. She added that the two Palestinians were killed.
The words “revenge” and “greetings from the prisoners of Zion” were drawn on the side of the home in the West Bank village of Beitillu.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the video “horrifying”, saying it showed “the real face of a group that represents a danger to Israeli society and Israeli security”. A police spokesman told a local media outlet the video is being investigated.

Shin Bet said the suspects ran an explosives laboratory in Abu Dis, east of Jerusalem, and meant to carry out suicide bombings inside Israel. These groups also tried to mount an assault against the home of Shin Bet chief, Yoram Cohen, and threatened a judge who is know under secret service protection.
