Palestinian killed for allegedly running over soldier, Nablus
According to a report by Applied Research Institute (ARIJ), “The consecutive Israeli governments adopted a policy to acquire much of the West Bank lands to build and expand the Israeli settlements by employing different methods; most renowned of which, “Security”, which is also, how Israel was able to restrict Palestinian towns’ development on the remaining areas”.

Nearly daily Palestinian stabbings, car-rammings and shooting attacks have killed 21 Israelis and a USA citizen, raising fears of a wider escalation a decade after the last Palestinian uprising subsided.
Israeli troops shot dead a Palestinian who allegedly rammed into them with his vehicle on Thursday – the latest incident in a wave of violence in the occupied West Bank. Among Palestinians, over 100 have been killed, majority as they carried out attacks, and others in violent clashes with security forces.
The soldier suffered light wounds in his limbs and was taken to Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva for further treatment, emergency services said.
“The assailant was shot by forces on the site, resulting in his death”, the military said in a statement.
Israeli human rights organisation B’Tselem said earlier this month that in several cases, the use of lethal gunfire – including the killing of alleged assailants after they no longer posed danger or were lying motionless on the ground – has been excessive.

Israel says the violence is fanned by a Palestinian campaign of lies and incitement, but Palestinians say it is fueled by frustration at almost 50 years of Israeli occupation.
