Israel media reported that a Palestinian man opened fire from the side of the road at a passing vehicle, killing the two Israelis.
The military stated Azzam Shalalda stabbed an Israeli within the West Bank settlement of Gush Etzion final month, and was then shot by his sufferer however managed to flee.
Meanwhile in Hebron, angry doctors and nurses, along with Palestinian Authority officials, demonstrated outside Al Ahli hospital on Thursday morning against the raid.
Numerous Palestinians killed were alleged attackers.
The violence was originally focused in and around Jerusalem but has recently shifted to the area of Hebron.
Friday’s attack highlighted the role of Hebron, the only city in the West Bank where Israelis live alongside Palestinians, as a flashpoint in the current bloodshed.
Between 5 and 11 November, Israeli forces killed seven Palestinian civilians, including a child and two women, in the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip, according to the Palestinian Centre for Human Rights.
The attacker, who Shin Bet was “from a family of militants” of Islamist movement Hamas, was said to have been shot during the attack but escaped.
The clashes erupted following the funeral of Mr Shalaldeh’s relative, shot dead during an undercover Israeli raid on a hospital in Hebron to seize a suspect in the stabbing of an Israeli.
These are the facts on the ground: From October 1 to 25, 11 innocent Israeli Jews were killed and 126 were wounded (13 seriously), according to Magen David Adom, Israel’s national emergency re-sponse organization.
The city is home to a few 500 Israeli settlers, squeezed among 200,000 Palestinians.
Israel must “comply with global humanitarian law and respect the special status granted to medical facilities and the wounded”, she said. Israel says the burial rites incite more Palestinians to violence.
Jerusalem has threatened to retaliate following the decision, with the Israeli foreign ministry summoning the European Union ambassador to Israel and stating it would suspend diplomatic dialogue in the short term.
In all, since mid-September, 14 Israelis have been killed in Palestinian attacks, mostly stabbings, while 81 Palestinians have been killed, including 50 who Israel says were involved in attacks.
Abdullah, from the Hebron-area village of Sair, was the 80th Palestinian to be killed since October 1.

Footage said to be from a security camera at the hospital and posted to Israeli news sites showed at least a dozen men, a few wearing traditional Palestinian scarves called keffiyeh, pushing a man in a wheelchair down a hall as perplexed nurses look on.
