Palestinian official criticizes treatment of Arab passengers on Israel-bound flight

Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) officials announced Tuesday that the army will begin distributing a new piece of protective gear for soldiers to guard their necks from attempted stabbing attacks.

More than half a million Israelis live in over 120 settlements built since Israel’s occupation of the Palestinian territories of the West Bank including East al-Quds in 1967.

Four Palestinians were killed Thursday when Israeli soldiers shot them dead in two separate incidents in the West Bank.

Israeli soldiers have opened fire on three Palestinians brandishing knives, killing two of them and wounding one.

According to Israeli daily the Jerusalem Post, Israeli passengers demanded that the cabin crew call the police and search the two Palestinians. No soldiers were injured during the incident.

Palestine authorities say three Palestinians killed in Hebron after reports of another stabbing attempt.

AFP reports that his cousin was killed at the same place, under similar circumstances in recent weeks.

He was later named as Khalil Shalalda, 16, also from Sair.

Some 22 Israelis, an American and an Eritrean have been killed in Palestinian attacks including stabbings, auto rammings and gunfire targeting security forces and civilians since October 1.

Israeli medical and disaster organization Magen David Adom has recorded at least 27 Israeli deaths at the hands of Palestinian attackers since mid September. “This appalling behavior by the Israeli passengers is reminiscent of the worst years of the South African apartheid”, he said.
