Palestinian prime minister urges donors to rebuild Gaza

According to Wednesday’s media reports, 54 new housing units were approved for the Har Brakha settlement near Nablus, 17 were approved for the settlement of Revava in the northern West Bank, 34 for Tekoa, south of Jerusalem, 70 in Nokdim, south of Bethlehem, and 76 in Givat Ze’ev, northwest of Jerusalem.

Palestinian leaders say attackers have acted out of desperation in the absence of movement towards creation of an independent Palestinian state in territory Israel captured in the 1967 Middle East war.

But she said that she and the current Israeli prime minister “get along well”, even though when it came to the USA and Israel, “we need to take the relationship to the next level”.

“The Security Council is a very important subject because it has now become urgent due to settlement activities and because Israel has not stopped these activities”, Abbas said late on Monday at his office in Ramallah.

“We were expecting from the USA administration over the past eight years that it would take positive steps forward to achieve what America believes in, which is the two-state vision”, he said.

The investigation is the first of its kind during the seven-month wave of violence, involving mostly young Palestinians who carry out attacks against civilians and soldiers with knives, guns or cars.
