Military engineers prepared the home of Fadi Hasibm, in the village of Bir Nabala, who was shot dead after wounding two Israeli soldiers in a car-ramming attack. A woman was arrested after she was found to be carrying a knife.

A Palestinian man rammed his auto into an Israeli bus stop before jumping out and stabbing a man before being shot himself. Israel’s walla news site says that clashes broke out between Israeli soldiers and residents of the village.

Nearly daily Palestinian stabbings, auto rammings and shootings have killed 19 Israelis and one USA citizen since October 1.

“Israel has destroyed the foundations of all political, security and economic agreements [it has made with the Palestinians]”, he said, going on to assert that the Palestinian Authority rejected any “partial” or “interim” solutions to the conflict.

The officer, in his early 20s, was stabbed in the neck. The Palestinians say the violence is rooted in frustration over almost a half-century of Israeli occupation and lack of hope for obtaining independence.

“Added to this opposition is an element of radical Islam that strikes worldwide – in Paris, in London, in Madrid, in Mali – where there are of course no settlements”, he added.

The violence erupted in Jerusalem amid tensions over the sensitive Al-Aqsa mosque compound but swiftly spread to the flashpoint southern West Bank city of Hebron where hundreds of Jewish settlers live under army guard among 200,000 Palestinians.

Overnight in the occupied West Bank city of Hebron, Israeli forces shut down and confiscated equipment from a Palestinian radio station, the third in recent weeks, that the military said has repeatedly broadcast material which “promotes and encourages terror and acts of violence against Israeli civilians and security forces”.

The army said in a statement that is closed down the station due to “incitement” that was broadcast on its airwaves.
