Palestinian stabs 80-year-old woman, others in latest attack

A bipartisan group of senators are backing a resolution suppporting Israel amid an uptick in Israeli-Palestinian violence.

Eid, the founder and director of the Jerusalem-based Palestinian Human Rights Monitoring Group, spoke at both these campuses as part of a national campus tour organized by CAMERA (also known as the Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America).

Under a separate budgetary hierarchy, the U.S. administration is understood to be well-disposed to ensure funding for Israel’s missile defense systems – maintaining and improving the Iron Dome and the Arrow systems, and deploying David’s Sling, to ensure Israel can counter threats from neighboring Gaza, south Lebanon and Syria, as well as from an Iran that is relentlessly developing its ballistic missile systems.

It boycotts institutions – not individuals – which facilitate the illegal occupation of Palestinian lands.

“Netanyahu would nonetheless be prime minister and would continue to explain why everything is the fault of the Palestinians”. The separation barrier divided many of Jerusalem’s neighbourhoods, leaving almost 80,000 born Jerusalemites living on the “wrong” side of it.

Merav, 44, a regular at the annual event, said it was the largest turnout for years, but she also felt further than ever from the spirit of the murdered politician.

Fear engenders more fear, and any concern among Israelis manifests itself in more restrictions on Palestinians. The 1995 guidelines about the need for Jerusalemites to prove their connection to the city in order to retain their rights resulted in a mass movement of people returning to the city.

But on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Rabin’s killing by an ultra-nationalist Jewish extremist opposed to his peace efforts, he candidly recalled the night that many see as a turning point in Israeli history. Such a move would certainly be the opposite of the perceived Israeli intention of finding administrative ways to reduce the Palestinian Arab population of Jerusalem.
