Police said Tuesday the woman was from east Jerusalem and in her early fifties. At least 172 Palestinians were killed by Israeli fire during that time. He suffered multiple stab wounds to his upper body in what police called a “frenzied attack” and is recovering in hospital.

A Palestinian terrorist, part of the so-called “knife intifada” roiling Israeli society, killed an American tourist and stabbed four more people before being shot dead. A lot of them were attackers and the rest were killed in clashes, Israel says.

“This horrific act of violence has robbed our Vanderbilt family of a young hopeful life and all of the bright promise that he held for bettering our greater world”, Zeppos said.

Force, a Vanderbilt grad student, was on a school trip when he was killed.

Also on Tuesday, Israeli security forces sealed shut the West Bank home of a Palestinian who killed an Israeli border policeman in a November car-ramming attack in the West Bank. “He was so stunned and didn’t know what to do with himself and then started running away”.

The sources, who spoke minutes after the attack took place, told Breitbart Jerusalem at the time there was no immediate information to indicate that the stabber timed his attack to coincide with Biden’s visit to Jaffa.

Mr Biden, who is only in Israel for two days, was meeting with former Israeli President Shimon Peres in Jaffa when the attack took place. Two Israeli police officers and 10 civilians were also wounded in the attacks and three Palestinian attackers were killed, according to local reports.

Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said the Palestinian who carried out a shooting in Jerusalem fled the scene and was pursued by police.

The attacker followed the victim into a store and stabbed him repeatedly, including in the neck. In the chase that followed, the Palestinian wounded another officer before he was shot and killed, police said.

Hamas, the Palestinian Islamic militant group that controls the Gaza Strip, praised the attacks on Tuesday but did not claim responsibility for them.
