Palestinians arrest negotiations aide suspected of spying for Israel
Israeli officials said last week that Swedish Foreign Minister Margot Wallstrom would not be welcome to the country following her call for investigations into the killing of Palestinians by Israeli forces and other critical comments.

Many of the Palestinians killed have been attackers, while others have been shot by Israeli forces during protests and clashes.
The two were identified as 19-year-old Muhammad Abu Zayed and Muhammad Majdi Qaita, 26.
According to the Ramallah-based Palestinian Health Ministry, three Palestinians were injured by Israeli gunfire and 17 by rubber bullets, while dozens of others suffered temporary asphyxia as a result of teargas.
Qasrawi is the 159th Palestinian to be killed by Israeli fire since October 1, 2015.
The Israeli military says a Palestinian who tried to stab soldiers in the West Bank has been shot dead.
Palestinians and Israeli human rights groups charged that excessive force was used against Palestinian attackers, even after they no longer pose a threat at the scenes of attacks.
The Palestinians, on their part, charge the violence is connected with the Israeli occupation of the West Bank, east Jerusalem and Gaza Strip territories, ongoing since the 1967 Mideast War, on lands slated to be part of a Palestinian state, in accordance with a two-state solution.
Some observers attribute the recent uptick in violence to a July arson attack in the West Bank by suspected Jewish settlers that killed an 18-month-old Palestinian child and his parents – an attack that prompted an global outcry and widespread outrage among Palestinians.
Stabbings have become frequent; young Palestinians have lunged at Israelis with knives, and more than 100 Palestinians have been killed.

Also stoking the violence has been Muslim opposition to increased Israeli visits to Jerusalem’s al Aqsa mosque complex, which is one of the holiest sites in Islam and is revered in Judaism as the location of two biblical temples.
