Two other Palestinians were wounded during the clashes east of the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, he added.
No injuries were reported among the Israelis.

The town is among numerous Palestinian communities that have been subject to surging incursions in continuing attempts to curb the recent wave of protests against persisting violence by Israeli forces and illegal settlers.
