Palestinians hurt in West Bank clashes with Israeli troops
In the video, broadcast by the Arabic-language Palestine al-Yawm satellite television network, the Israeli officers can be seen yelling, cursing at and verbally abusing 13-year-old Ahmad Manasra, whom they accuse of carrying out a stabbing attack on an illegal settler near Pisgat Ze’ev settlement in East al-Quds (Jerusalem).

An Israeli security official was stabbed and suffered from moderate wounds during the attack.
The guards shot at him and wounded him critically, and the Hadassah Har Hatzofim hospital in Jerusalem announced his death a short while after his hospitalization.
Earlier in Tuesday, two attacks took place against Israelis in east Jerusalem, one at the Pisgat Zev neighborhood, and another at the Nablus Gate at the entrance to Jerusalem’s Old City. But the fact that no one has been officially charged months after the attack is a sore point among Palestinians and many cite the case as a big factor in fueling the current violence. There were no immediate details on the assailant’s condition.
Israel last month gave preliminary approval to development plans that could build more than 2,000 homes in West Bank settlements over the next 15 years, according to documents obtained today. The house has been closed since the Islamic militant group Hamas took over Gaza in 2007 after routing the Palestinian Authority’s forces and ousting Fatah under the leadership of Arafat’s successor, Mahmoud Abbas.
Leaked video of an interrogation posted by Palestinian media purportedly shows him in tears as an Israeli officer shouts and shakes his fist at him while making him watch CCTV footage of the attack.

The footage ignited a firestorm of anger on Palestinian social media and led to calls for Palestinian leaders to act. Police fatally shot Hassan and a passing auto ran over Manasra. The Israelis, aged 20 and 13, survived their wounds. Police spokeswoman Luba Samri said a Palestinian tried to stab forces at a checkpoint before he was shot dead. Israel Radio said that passengers helped overcome the two youths. The Israeli army says troops are looking for another person suspected of involvement in the attack but provided no details. “You can not terrify or threaten or tempt for the objective of achieving a confession”, she said.
