Pamela Anderson Joins ‘Baywatch’ Movie – Is She Playing C.J. Parker?

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who is replacing David Hasselhoff in the new film as Mitch Buchanan, announced the news to the world via his Instagram account yesterday – and has already racked up almost half a million likes for his trouble.

This is good news for the film’s producers, after Anderson herself cast doubt in February that she would appear in the film.

The upcoming film adaptation of the classic 1990’s global television phenomenon Baywatch will showcase a cast of contemporary talent embodying the series’ classic characters.

“She introduced the world to “CJ Parker” and became one of the most iconic characters of a generation – for the most successful TV show of all time”, Johnson wrote. She had previously admitted she wasn’t sure if she wanted to be involved in the film reboot but it seems she has changed her mind. Now she’s heading back to the beach with a role in the new Baywatch movie.

Where’s Pamela Anderson today? “But I have turned down what they offered me”. “I’ve heard this for 15 years”, she said.

Pamela Anderson told the media last fall. As The Rock put it, “We couldn’t have made this movie without you”. It’s unclear how big of a part Anderson will have, or just what it entails. But this latest reveal is most likely what Baywatch fans have been waiting for.

One detail that neither Dwayne Johnson or Pamela Anderson spilled the beans on, is who she will play.

Pam made her debut on Baywatch in 1992 and played CJ Parker until 1997.
