With Saturday Night Live parodies, thousands of YouTube covers and Lionel Richie mashups, it quickly worked its way to the top of the charts in 28 countries, making it the first single ever to sell one million downloads in a release week in the USA, according to Billboard Magazine.

“When it happened on ’21, ‘ I was clueless, it never happened to me before”, Adele explained. Adele’s 25 has sold 800,307.

A loophole in music licensing laws gave Pandora and other streaming radio stations like iHeartRadio and Slacker access to the complete 25 album, which sold 3 million copies in its first week. Of that, 1.45 million are digital albums.

NSYNC was an American boy band formed in 1995 which consisted of Justin Timberlake, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, JC Chasez and Chris Kirkpatrick.

A message on Adele’s website says: “The resale of tickets will not be tolerated”.

Her number could grow even larger seeing that Nielsen Music tracks sales to end of day Thursday.

25 has reached double platinum status already.

Adele sings in her “When We Were Young” music video. Before Adele’s startling debut, “Purpose” had the highest first-week sales for an album in 2015.

According to Nielsen Music, “25” broke the USA album sales record in four days, selling 2.433 million copies between Friday and Monday – and smashing the record set by *NSYNC’s “No Strings Attached”, which sold 2.416 million copies during the week ending March 26, 2000. It is not only exciting fans but also breaking records and impressing billboards, which creates the platform for music Adele as an artist. But the British singer/songwriter refused to sign with any online streaming site. “For a lot of people, this is the only record they will buy this year”.
