He says that if it was released now Apple could stop the exploits. What are Pangu and TaiG waiting for to release the newest jailbreak version for the device?

Some are speculating that Todesco, and even Pangu 9 and TaiG, are holding off the jailbreak tool because of how close Apple users are to receiving the iOS 9.3.

With the iOS 9.3 coming up, there is a little time to jailbreak the iOS 9.2.1.

The last popular jailbreak for iOS 9, Pangu 9, only works on iOS 9.0, iOS 9.0.1, and iOS 9.0.2 right now. According to the hacker, the upload only served to remind people that a jailbreak version of the iOS is still possible, even with the more stringent security measures reportedly put up by Apple. He demonstrated a working iOS 9.3 jailbreak in a video posted on YouTube (see below), but said that there would be no public release.

Released around three weeks back, iOS 9.2.1 download is a small update that aimed to fix bugs and patch security flaws without bringing anything new to the table.

Although the hacker uploaded the video publicly, the full version of the jailbreak will remain private, meaning that those who are expecting to use the jailbreak version will not be able to check it out anytime soon.

Windknowm, a core developer for Pangu, the biggest jailbreak company in the world, recently published a technical article explaining the security and vulnerability fixes found in iOS 9.2 and iOS 9.2.1.

Earlier this year, we started hearing whispers about a new update for iOS users. So Luca is not going to release any jailbreak, and even TaiG and Pangu teams are silent about this matter. Rumors are rife that, should everything goes according to plan, the developer will be dropping the iOS 9.2.1 jailbreak any moment now.

It has also been reported that downgrading to iOS 9.2 on iPhone or iPad is no longer achievable as Apple closed the signing window for iOS 9.2.

Do you believe the lone hackers who claim to have jailbreak solutions to iOS 9.2, iOS 9.2.1, or (especially) iOS 9.3 beta?

“It is noteworthy that [these vulnerabilities} can be triggered in the iOS sandbox, so the app can directly attack the kernel … we recommend that users upgrade to the latest version as soon as possible”.
