The J, M, and Z trains were back up and running, but the delay caused a mess for commuters coming from Brooklyn into the city on Wednesday morning’s commute. The MTA worker also declared, “Someone was hit by the train”.

The conductor was shoved and suffered a minor injury as her J train exited the Essex St./Delancey St. station around 8:55 a.m., officials said.

We will update when more information becomes available. The person who allegedly assaulted the conductor is now reportedly in custody.

Videos posted to social media networks by straphangers on a J train at the station showed hundreds of confused commuters standing on the platform and asking one anther what had happened.

The conductor, who had been working for the MTA for just over three years, and another passenger were taken to Beth Israel Hospital.

Cops said the off-duty officer then pushed the conductor. One Twitter user noted, “Someone yelled run and all hell broke loose”.
