“I’ll talk to the trainers”, Davis added while holding his right arm with his left.

The Panthers are charging into the Super Bowl, prompting Las Vegas to set Carolina as the early favorite in the title game against the Denver Broncos.

It will be only the second Super Bowl appearance for the Panthers in the team’s 21-season history.

Davis had six tackles and two tackles for loss before leaving. He was seen on the sideline with his arm in a sling, but was not wearing it in the locker room after the game. During his career, he has overcome three torn ACL’s in the same knee and even popped his finger back into its socket before tackling Seattle running back Marshawn Lynch in the span of seconds. When asked if surgery would be required, he shrugged, but insisted he wasn’t bypassing a chance to play in his first Super Bowl. It hasn’t stopped him yet.

Safety Roman Harper also left the game with an eye injury.
