The NFC champion Carolina Panthers will face the AFC champion Denver Broncos on football’s biggest stage after defeating the Arizona Cardinals and New England Patriots, respectively, in their conference championship games Sunday.

The Panthers are charging into the Super Bowl, prompting Las Vegas to set Carolina as the early favorite in the title game against the Denver Broncos.
It will be only the second Super Bowl appearance for the Panthers in the team’s 21-season history.

When asked if surgery would be required, he shrugged, but insisted he wasn’t bypassing a chance to play in his first Super Bowl. It hasn’t stopped him yet.
Safety Roman Harper also left the game with an eye injury.
